ASPE continues to monitor the ever-changing situation related to the spread of COVID-19. We understand that concerns for health, safety, and the impact on meeting attendance, among other issues, are affecting our members and attendees.
While the ASPE Convention & Expo is still a few months away, our preparedness plans are evolving daily in accordance to updated guidance on COVID-19. Our ASPE team is taking precautions and proactively running contingency scenarios in order for us to provide our event in New Orleans. We will continue to follow any protocols that are outlined by the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention along with Federal, state and city guidelines. Absent federal travel restrictions and/or local, state, or regional decisions to close venues, ASPE Convention & Expo will not cancel the meeting at this time.
We are in communication with the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans & Company (convention bureau), hotels and other providers to get clarity on their specific plans and implementations. Appropriate actions will take place with each organization.
